Ms. Farheen Penwale is a Principal Associate at Lectio Law with extensive experience in arbitration, litigation and regulatory disputes. With a legal career spanning over a decade across Pune and Delhi, she brings a distinctive blend of legal acumen and economic insight to high-stakes dispute resolution.
Her recent work reflects her focus on complex commercial arbitrations and enforcement proceedings. She has strategised and drafted pleadings in disputes involving significant monetary exposure, including enforcement challenges, contractual pricing disputes and legacy supply contracts. Her approach consistently combines rigorous legal reasoning with commercially pragmatic solutions, helping clients resolve sensitive disputes while safeguarding their financial and reputational interests.
In addition to arbitration, she has acted in significant regulatory and corporate disputes, assisting in matters that affirmed the jurisdiction of statutory authorities and clarified the scope of professional misconduct under the Companies Act, 2013. She regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts and arbitral tribunals, bringing depth and clarity to proceedings.
Ms. Penwale began her career in Pune, where she represented corporates before the District Court and National Green Tribunal and contributed to policy-focussed work in areas such as surrogacy and urban development. Since moving to Delhi, she has broadened her disputes practice to include arbitration, writs, service matters and regulatory litigation, with a focus on strategic, outcome-driven advocacy.
She is also deeply committed to pro bono work, having represented needy women in domestic violence and service-related disputes as well as conducting workshops on rights under the Domestic Violence Act and POCSO. Alongside her practice, she regularly contributes thought pieces and updates on dispute resolution and arbitration.
